Ohh Boy

Alright.

So the engineering class is probably the highlight of my day. We're using Inventor to make a pencil sharpener. Yay. There's a few of us who are basically lost, so ours look kinda sad. It's still fun. :) Now, we're also picking something from engineering history to do a report about. Hmm .. don't really know what I'm going to do mine on, though.

Last week, there were drama auditions for the fall play. (Othello) Because I'm in the seventh period class, I had to audition, and I ended up with a small 4-line part. We started rehersals on Saturday, and so far I've been in every scene (no lines, though) that we've blocked so far. Geez. So I stayed after school yesterday and today until 6, and spent 7 hours last Saturday on the blocking for acts 1 and 2.

It's soo annoying though because they don't sell food after school. :(

First Week Of School ..

Alright.

So day one was a half day.
As it turns out, my schedule was completely different than the one I had gotten before.
Plus, I had the 7th period theater production class.

Not so bad, I guess. But I didn't have the zero period.
Well, in my first period, I got "The Meanest Teacher" for Spanish. I guess I might actually learn something in that class.
Second period is P.E, and I have Jackson again which is a great thing.
Third period was Chemistry, and I have the teacher Beth had. She's kinda crazy, but funny also.

Fourth period is English, and I have this really, really quiet, and really really skinny teacher. Err .. she's cool .. except she made us write an essay on, like, the second day.

Fifth period is my geo / trig class, with a really funny teacher. She's smart and stuff, and she's pretty cool.
Then there's World History .. and oh gosh, my teacher is completely crazy. He's funny and stuff, but really crazy. It's kinda funny.

Seventh period, as it turns out, is just a way to get credits for doing drama productions. So its not every day, yay!

But I went into the zero period class, and told him I wanted the class. So he said okay. :)

Life As A Pack-rat ..

Geez. So I was trying to install Dazzle "Digital Video Creator" on my computer .. only to find that I didn't have enough room. What did I do? Well, I removed a bunch of programs that I never used and stuff. Which worked, until I told Joe that my computer didn't have enough room on it because of all my pictures. He told me about Photoshop Elements, in which you can resize pictures as a group. I was like "great!" and I was all excited because I had over 5 GB of just pictures, which I wanted to resize. The problem was, was that with that many pictures, over 3 BG of music, and a bunch of school essays and things, there wasn't enough room to install that program.

Ahh.

My sister is so lucky .. she has 1/4 of her hard drive empty to install things. Meh.

Oh! My sister and I have been competing to edit our movie the best.I've discovered that editing videos is soo much fun! I've been adding music and transitions, replaying funny things over and over again .. ha. I seriously wasted half a day editing that 20 minute video. Oh well.

About that zero period I've been wanting to take .. I emailed the teacher, asking if I could do the class as an independent study, and just come in zero period .. but he hasn't replied yet. Geez. I think I might show up on the first day of school anyway. Ha.

Well since it's one in the morning .. I think I shall go to bed.

Movies

So my sister and I have made sooo many home videos - with our friends, or just the two of us. The bad thing is that its a really old camera that was borrowed from our grandma. We don't have a program to edit it, so they are just terrible quality.

It's kinda sad.

My Classes

So basically .. I didn't get the zero period engineering class, or the 7th period drama. I'm going to talk to the people in the office on the first day to see if I could possibly still get in. Mehh ..

But besides that, I ended up with:

Per. 1 - Chemistry / Pre-IB
Per. 2 - Spanish / Pre-IB
Per. 3 - Eng 10 H / Pre-IB
Per. 4 - World History AP
Per. 5 - Geo/Trig
Per. 6 - P.E. 2

Bleh. I really want that zero period. Or the 7th. Either way.

My Day ..

So basically .. my day went a little like this:

Woke up at 11 from the phone. (I hate when people call and don't leave a message. Sheesh.)

Went to a see The Devil Wears Prada, which was suprisingly good. They didn't have an ooberly cheesy ending or anything like that .. thank goodness. Of course, some of the outfits towards the end were a little more extreme than I like, but they fit well for the film.

Watched a "9/11 conspiracy" video. Kinda lame. And wayy too long. (1 hour, 21 minutes.)

Played Scrabble. Lost. 321 to 173.

Pondered whether I should take the 7th period Theater Production class or not. (Speaking of which .. I heard rumors that there wasn't the zero period engineering class. When I get my schedule on Monday, I'm going to double check that. If the class is available, I'm taking that rather than the 7th period.)

And now I'm pondering whether I should paint my toenails, or go to bed. Meh.

Stupid Schedules.

Alright. My school is lame. They have this "walk in pick up" of your schedules, which is just a way to make it so the first couple weeks are less chaotic. They split the days into grades (Seniors one day, then juniors, then sophomores, and then two days for freshies.) and they had the school open from 7AM to 3PM. I didn't go the first day, because my friend told me that people weren't able to pick up their schedule. He said that all it was was making sure you were registered for the right class. Which was wrong. Ha.

I hear from my friend that she got her schedule .. after standing in line for THREE hours. I guess what happened was this:

You go in, and stand in a ridiculous long line. When you reach the front of the line, the person there gives you this blue paper to write your student ID, your name, and your grade. Then you have to stand there and fill it out, and then move to the next station. At that station, they give you the emergency information that you've been getting since you were in first grade, and you have to stand there while they explain the whole packet. (Erm .. dumb?). After that station, you go give your blue sheet to the person there, and they .. do something? And then they give you your schedule. If there's anything wrong with your schedule, you get to stand in another horrilbly long line.

If there isn't anything wrong .. you have to get it approved or something like that. I don't get why you can't just leave, but whatever ..

Now, if I was running the thing, I would've have it so that they handed out the blue sheets of paper as people walked in. How many minutes were wasted by people standing there writing down that stuff? Not only that, but I would have the emergency packet on the blue paper table. I would've set up a "help" table so people could go there if they had any questions about the forms, or whatever. Another thing I would do, is have two places open to get your schedule. One computer for 1,000 sophomores is kinda sad.

Also, all they did in the line that you went to if your schedule had problems was circle the part that was messed up and send you to another room. They should've had two or three tables open for that. Apparently, once you got into the room, there was no line or anything, so that worked out well. But if they had opened up more tables for the schedule screw ups, there would've been a need for more tables in that room.

Mehh .. What were they thinking?

She's Back!

Beth's back from Europe. Ohhh yeah. :) She got me these earrings from Spain, and a necklace from Italy, which are beautiful! We had waffles last night for dinner, which was pretty random, but I loved it anyway. Ha.

But today .. I'm at my dad's school because otherwise I'd be at home all alone. *tear* So I get to be here for five more hours, and we've already been here for two. Seven hours at a school? Not my thing.

Plus, the school blocked the one I want to go to. Even when I looked up Chiggers, some of the info pages were blocked. Lame-ooo. Sometimes schools are just too controlling.

Google!

So I've been arranging my google home page. I've got a quotes, games, jokes on there. Ohh yeah. I'm assuming that you can only change the page if you have gmail, which is all good cuz I've got gmail. Of course, google takes forever to load, but its all good. SuDoku's been keeping me busy, haha.

Yearly Archiving

Sheesh.
Movable Type needs yearly archiving.

With almost four years of blogging, the list of every month is a bit extreme .. and not exactly pretty. I was trying to clean up my page, updating a bit of the things on the side bar, deleting spam comments, but the only thing I can't clean up is the long list of months.

I googled a way to archive by years, but I just came up with a website that had a broken link, that was two years old. Meh ..

"Mind Reader"

Alright .. I am so lame. You know that mind reader thing with the numbers and the pattern? Well, I just figured out how it works.

The only possible numbers you can get if you pick a two digit number in the 90's is 81. Then, if you pick a number in the 80's the only number you can get is 72. Then if you pick a number in the 70's, you can only get 63.

Look at the pattern next to 81, 72, and 63 .. its the same.

Gahh I'm so stupid! I can't believe its taken me this long to figure it out.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, its this website.
