So today was Saint Patrick's Day! I was walking into school today when I seriously heard someone who said "Why is everyone wearing grean ..?" She sounded so lost, it was great.
Our school was giving out free ice cream to everyone who was wearing green .. or should I say those who got to the ASB room first. I didn't happen to be one of them, lol.
Everyone at school was totally decked out in bright green shirts, and some brave ones had bright green pants, and socks, and pins, and hats, and necklaces, and everything green you could possibly imagine .. :)
You know what the sad thing is? My Daddy didn't wear greeen!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that on Wednesday I'm getting my braces off!
Well, I'm excited at least. :)
(And yes, I have a count down .. hehe)
So I seriously just spent the last four hours reading .. and crying over the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
For all who haven't read it, it probably sounds really stupid. And for all who aren't teenagers, you would probably think it's stupid anyways.
It's basically about these four girls who have been best friends since they were born. The first book of the series is about their very first summer apart. Only a few days before they leave on their vacations they go shopping and find these magical pair of pants that fit each of them pefectly.
The pair of pants kept them connected throughout the summer, even though they are hundreds of miles apart.
One of the girls is a soccer player and is going to a soccer camp in Mexico, one of them is going to visit her father in South Carolina, one of them is going to Greece to visit her family, and the other is staying at home, putting together a short film.
Yeah, they tried to make a movie about it .. but it totally sucked compared to the book.
The second one was ten billion times better than the first, which was good to begin with! It was kinda more dramatic .. teenage angst and stuff.
So if you're a teenager, or a wanna-be teenager .. you should read it! If not .. don't! lol
But now, I'm going to finish Memoirs of a Geisha because it's really good and I want to know how it ends!
Ya .. totally ..
