Adobe Photoshop
 | I'm not an artist. In fact, my ideas of doing great artwork that looks good is asking someone else to do it for me. However, as I learn more Adobe photoshop, I find features that actually make it look like I know what I'm doing.
The lph.gif image is a modification of the forums avatar image. I started with a box that was a solid purple. Next was adding the inner yellow box. Finally, I added a copy of the face04.gif avatar image. This was blended with the yellow box so that the background and new image color matched. Finally, I added the LPH text. It might look washed out to you but that was the idea. No really. Rather than blurring the image it seemed more artistic to wash it out. OK. I thought it looked good. This was saved and uploaded. I also changed the banner for this weblog. It looks a little more like black ice and matches the idea of penguins. Yep, it was a mistake that turned out to look good to me. |
