This past week I haven't gotten a drop of comment spam. No wonder. The comment system is broken on this blog.
I remember Layne telling me last weekend that he was adding some new controls to the connect code. I guess I should have double checked things to make sure they worked. Obviously they don't.
Right now Layne is on the tail end of an all-nighter and is busy working on his class work, so I'll wait till later today to see if we can fix the problem.
I have to admit though, it's nice not having to deal with those pesky 50 to a 100 comment spam messages a day. Even if you never see them, I see them fall into the comment spam bucket which I have to clear out every few days. (Early on I didn't realize I had to do this--that is until over 10,000 comment spam messages had consumed the database. Heh.)
