In a shared ride I met Scott Ferguson of the original Visual Basic team and now devoted BattleBot builder.
We talked mostly about Robots. He's more of the build-em-smash-em type and I enjoy the automomous-minded bots in comparison. It sounds like, however, that his remote-controlled Robots are gradually gaining more built-in sensors in order to perform better. Who knows, maybe BattletBots will eventually all be autonomous.
