A little applet waiting for content

TabletDotsSample.gifA friend has volunteered to create some artwork for a little connect-the-dots applet we've been wanting to get out. Writing the first iteration of the program wasn't all that complicated, but coming up with good enough vector artwork has been a challenge. I look forward to seeing what the illustrator comes up with. I remember spending hours with connect-the-dot books as a kid and I look forward to seeing if a Tablet version hits the spot as well.

Could make it a more interesting 'game' by adding an option that starts to remove drawn lines if you are too slow ?

Or turn the finished item into a 3d wire frame model and give ability to spin it ?
or ......(think I have headache now.)

Ian, cool suggestions. It would be wild to see a connect-the-dot drawing morph into a 3-D wireframe.

I agree that making the program do more than what's possible with a sheet of paper is a good idea.

One such feature I added was the ability to hide the numbers. As a kid I remember being a bit distracted by all the digits after I connected up all the numerous dots. I wanted to admire what I'd just "drawn" and the numbers got in the way.

I have about another half-dozen, half-done features that may or may not make it into the first version. Time will tell.

To me, good connect-the-dot drawings are at least as important as the programmatic features I could add. Make sense?
