The new NEC Tablet PC is out--at least in Japan. What sets the NEC Tablet PC apart is that it is only 11mm and 2lbs light.
The screensize looks the same--10.4"--although it looks like a wide-viewingangle display is incorporated this time. Cool. I'm finding a good display that works at a variety of angles while in Tablet mode is extremely important. Otherwise, you wind up hunching over the Tablet to get a good view as you write.
As might be expected, the processor is a midling 1.1GHz Pentium M. Considering the NEC's ultra-thin formfactor there isn't room for anything faster, hotter, or that consumes more battery power.
It's also great to see that 802.11 a/b/g is covered.
