Can you believe it? We're having gas lines here in Phoenix. It's the 1970s all over again.
One of the pipelines feeding the Phoenix area ruptured a few weeks back and ever since then prices have shot up and the gas supply has become unpredicatable. "Out of Gas" signs are on pumps all across the valley.
Posted by Loren at August 18, 2003 11:23 AMMy Son is driving to Oklahoma from California on Labor Day weekend. Should he take an alternate route avoiding Arizona. How bad is the gas shortage now?
Thanks,
Mary
The gas is a little pricey--usually $2-$2.40 a gallon--but other than that the supply problems seem to have been fixed.
