Bryan mentions a toy Tablet PC program I've been working on for my niece: It's a little app for her to practice her long multiplication. Here's a screenshot.
One of the gotchas I ran into was that when working through long multiplication problems you write digits right to left, but the Tablet PC recognizer appears to be biased towards left to right ordering. I haven't worked around this problem yet, so there's nothing to release, but since Bryan mentioned it on his blog, I thought I'd show a screenshot. As you can tell, I'm just working on the basics right now. The program randomly generates two numbers and the user can handprint the answer. If the answer is worked through correctly, a little smiley face is displayed, otherwise, you get the little raspberry face. Nothing fancy. I hope she likes it.
Lora tells me though that my niece is already working on long division, so I better get moving. Hmm. I didn't mean to start this program in the first place, but my niece is sooo cute that I couldn't help it. Plus, she loves the Tablet PC. :-)
