Wow. Is this really true?
I was just reading through this BusinessWeek article on a recent analyst report on the state of the Tablet PC market and these two sentences leaped out at me (for non-Americas market, I think):
"The tablet PC market is small, representing less than 1 percent of notebook sales with shipments of less than 100,000 units since the category launched last November"
and:
"...currently shipping tablet PCs are smaller form-factor notebooks. These account for only about 5 to 10 percent of notebook shipments..."
OK. So does this mean that the Tablet PC is already somewhere between 10 and 20% of the subnotebook market?
I'm not quite sure whether these percentages are just for Europe and Asia or hold for North America too. Does anyone know?
