The Centrino factor

Scoble mentions how talk of forthcoming Tablet PCs can stall current sales. In particular, he points out how talk of Centrino systems has stalled Tablet PC sales. Whatisnew has an illustration of this phenomenon. Check out the chart here for it's mobile sales over the last three quarters. You can see how the late-to-market Centrino impacted both Tablet PC and notebook sales in Q2 (according to the post). But once the Centrinos got into the channel sales picked up again--although most strongly for the standard notebooks. Interesting info.
