My sister tells me my Dad was reading "After the Storm: A Story of the Prarie" on a Tablet PC while lounging at Modesto's Concert at the Park last evening. It was his first e-Book. He was using Microsoft Reader for the Tablet PC and he downloaded the book from the University of Virginia's e-book collection.
He has over 3 tons of physical books and now he's all excited about downloading 3 GBytes of e-Books on his 3 lb Tablet PC.
I downloaded "The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin." Quick and easy. My first impressions of Microsoft Reader? It works, but it's not up to par with Microsoft's other products. Sorry. It definitely has the look and feel of a program that's been ported from another platform. It might as well have been ported from Unix. Again, at least it works.
