Framing images the Tablet PC way

Bryan's working on a cool Tablet PC tool after all. Wow! After just a couple days of blogging, he realized he wanted a personalized way to share his photos. So he came up with the idea of an app that frames his pictures and gives him room to handwrite a personalized caption. Simple, focused, and useful. Very Tablet PC. I want it.

PersonalFrames.gifHere's a hand-drawn mockup I did of some thoughts we came up with while brainstorming about the app as we chatted on Windows Messenger. I drew this mockup in Windows Journal on my Tablet PC and then emailed a screenshot over to Bryan. It was our first pass, so it's missing some obvious pieces. But it's great to be able to sketch out an idea like this on a Tablet PC and then email it to someone else in a matter of minutes.

This engineer never had it so good.

And what if you could then simply write say:

eloren, and whammo it would be E-Mailed to Loren?

To create the ability to do what Bryan has done, and then hamstring your self into having to go through a hole bunch of steps to get he picture to someone, is counter productive. The reason why ActiveWords on a tablet is a killer application is that it makes a tablet work the way you want it to....

Just a thought.

You know... I was thinking of actually making a picture framming tool like that after seeing how you put your photos on the site... but the fact that I don't have a tablet yet put me off of it. Hehehe. ;)

Bryan's utility is going to save me time. I can't wait.

I concur, it's not about making an All-In-One app, it's about making a program that makes your life easier. Like my Picture Crop/Resize/Save As JPG program :) that I made just so I don't need to start up the slow loading image editor for the tasks above.

Man, I'd love this thing, too. But I've got a different perspective. Right you don't need it in an image editor, but to integrate it with my blogging app would be great.

It would be nice to have multiple pictures in one post as well instead of only posting and commenting on pictures one at a time.

I agree, great idea for an application. With all this photo sharing going around I posted a couple of pictures to my blog a few minutes ago, an app like this would make posting them much easier.
