So sorry I forgot to tell you about the math results. Well, overall, I think we won, but, then again, it wasn't based on overall scores, it was the best out of each section... But, I still think we came out on top. Yay us! I got a spiffy ribbon (for 1st place estimating) and a certifigate for being in the competition, mainly because, only the best math students get in. =)
Anyways, I'm SO excited for Tuesday, because we get to go to the Grand Canyon! Could I smile ANYMORE?!?!
The title says it all. Within the span of 2 weeks, I have 2 major events going on, and 4 tennis lessons. 2 Student Council meetings, and just about everthing else I have. ARG. Ok, so, the Grand Canyon field trip is pretty cool, but still, 2 and 1/2 hours on a bus?!?! I have a math competetion on Thursday (we get pizza! w00t w00t) but, have to miss science. =( I love science class. Why? I don't know. I guess we have a cool teacher. Not so sad about missing Language Arts. (yes!) Anyways, that's all I really had to say...
Till Later,
Kim
Happy Birthday to my Best Friend, Katy. Of course, knowing me, I decided to NOT post that day, so, happy belated birthday, Katy!
She had a party and everything. We bowled, and then, Victoria and I spent the night. We saw the Peter Pan play, where all our friends were in it (our friend Brittany was Peter Pan!). That was pretty cool. ^_^
Well, the title pretty much says it all. My best friend, Katy, her birthday was yesterday... and so was her kitten's, Gigi, who I really shouldn't call a kitten anymore, because she's now aa year old and 1 day. ^_^
So, like I was saying, Katy had her Birthday party the 25, and she invited some of our closes friends, like Sami, Brittany, Katie, blah blah blah. Brittany couldn't come for some reason, and Katie was sick. But, that didn't stop the 2 of them from taking their spots in the play.
After the party, I was going to spend the night at Katy's (along with Victoria). We bought tickets for the play, Peter Pan. It was awsome! Our friend, Brittany, had gottne the lead. If you're thinking Wendy, no. I'm talking Pan himself. She had to cut her hair, and take flying lessons! Smai, was one of the lost boys, Katie was one of the lost boys, my goodness. Now that I think of it, we knew ALOT of people in this play. This wasn't a school play or anything, it was a play put on at a 100 year old theatre, somewhere in downtown. ANyways, this play was awsome. We can see Brittany on broadway in about 10-15 years. She was walking down the rows singing," I won't grow up!" When she passed Katy, Victoria, and me, she stopped, stood over us, and started singing there for awhile. it was awsome.
Ok, well, i have to get ready for school now, because, I only have about 30 minutes left to get ready. Eacks.
Love Kim
Hehe. So, I've been talking about the oragami, so, I'm going to talk about it more! =) The other day, Aunt Lora and I made a video of me playing with it, talking about it, so you could get a good idea of it. Exciting part is, Martin (apperently an important person in the microsoft tablet area) has asked to use the video for promotional reasons! YAY! You can view me jabbering on and playing with the oragami here:
I got lots of nice comments, and some I didn't really know what they meant... but, that's beside the point. Lol
Anyways, I'm finally getting that Wi-Fi installed in my tablet. Woo hoo! It should be fully installed by about tommorrow. Then I can post whenever... I suppose wherever also. =)
Till Later.
Ok, I'm not quite sure that I'm supposed to be talking about this yet, but, there's a new version of tablet pc. It's called Oragami. It's about as big as a book- I mean the length, not weight or size! I mean, it's about... let's see it's about 9 in. in length, and 6 in. in width. My goodness! It's very cool, it's about the size of the original gameboy. 0_o Very very happy. I got to play with it, and take some model photos. W00t w00t. Yup, hopefully, they'll be good photos.... But then again.
Wow! I know I've been rambling on about snow for the last few days, but it's totally cool! Ok, well, maybe I better explain it all to you....
*flashback*
Well, around 7th period, it started snowing! YAY! But, we didn't really get to see it because of my evil teacher, she kept saying," Turn around! You've all seen snow before!" But, as most kids know, that just means we want to see it more! So, every chance we got to sneak a peek outside, we took it. Around the end of the period, we had a few free moments to wander around the room happily because of the snow. SNOW, SNOW, snow. It had started sticking! The grass outside was snow white, and the pavement was turning a light gray because of the snowfall. One word... snow day!
Saying that we were heading to our lockers from the 8th grade hall, Katy and I casually walked outside. In the snow. The flakes were huge! About the size of your fist! (ok, so maybe not THAT big, but still.)
Anyways, by 8th period, it had turned the whole school white. By then, Katy and I had formulated a plan... she'd come over! We had no homework, so, if it was ok with her mom, she'd come over. We headed our way up with the hill (with Katy in the car) about 100 feet away from home, our car swirved. We all prayed,"God, come on. You're a nice guy... can you help us out?" Luckily (if there is anyone up there) he answered our prayers. We didn't die, no one was hurt, but we couldn't go any further up. We had to park in the neighbor's driveway. All our hearts were pounding fast, and we had to walk all the way back down to the house. The snow had thickened, and it was hard to walk in. But, we survived....
Now, here I sit with Katy by my side. We called her mom, telling her that the roads weren't safe, so, she's spending the night! It's snowed alot, so, we're hoping for a snow day, or, at least a 2 hour delay. We played in the snow until our fingers froze together. We sled down the driveway, until the cardboard we were using as a make-shift sled gaveway. We had a snowball fight, until we discovered hard rocks in our snowballs. Then, we decided to build a snowman. We got 1/3 done, until we heard thunder, and the coyotes howling. We were to chicken at that point.
And, here we sit. 1 snowball fight, 2 big snowstorms, 1/3 snowman built, boxes of mushy cardboard, and about 6 smores later.
Maybe we'll wake up to a white morning, and a school delay. If not, that sucks. But, oh well. Katy still gets to spend the night.
Yay! Due to all the snowfall last night (about a foot!) we have a 2 hour delay on school! WOO HOO! That mean school starts at about 10:05. Mom says she's gonna have to go get the shovel just in case. The PUSD (prescott unified school district) is so stingy though, maybe they won't call it off today. It's the first day of school (or what was supposed to be) after spring break, but I don't think we're going to have school, seeing as they'res at LEAST a foot outside. I attempted to go and get the newspaper, here's what happened: Ok, so I step outside. Relise it's TOO deep for me, so I venture back inside to get my snowboots. Next... out I go. Ok, the newspaper was covered in orange, to make it easier to see. It's about 10 ft away from the door. And off I go. My feet sink in the soft, fluffy snow. It's really deep! I finally get far up enough to see the rest of the street (forget the newspaper). It's like a winter wonderland; the car is frozen over with snow, isicicles hanging down. LOTS of fresh snow. I'm so HAPPY! SNOW SNOW!
Anyways, I guess this means no tennis for me! w00t w00t. Besides, who wants to play on a wet court? Ick...
Anyways, cross your fingers for me: maybe they're going to call off school if we're lucky.
Yay! It's snowing... alot! And, we're predicted for more. I've been playing in the snow so long, my fingers are numb! They're finally starting to warm up though. Anyways, I hope you all have as much fun and snow as I'm having here!
Boy, did you ever think you could miss a small town like Prescott, Arizona? Well, I didn't... and I did miss home... I'm so glad to be home again! I missed my kitty, Tessa, my dog, Holly, and my Mom. SO glad to be home! After a 2 hour flight on Southwest Airlines, I'M HOME! And let me tell you, that flight today wasn't so happy.... let's just say we didn't have the best pilot. We were going fast, then slow. Higher and higher, and then they would decide we need to go lower, so we'd slow down, and you thought you were going to drop. Goodness...
Ok, well, I'm at home sitting at my lovely tablet pc, and... it's snowing! Buckets and buckets! At this rate, I don't think we're going to have school tommorow! A great way to start off the last quarter of school, huh? Mom's going gaa-gaa over all the snow, going,"Oh my god!" Every time she looks out the window. I'm thinking about joining her seeing as, you can't see too far because of the snow, and I swear, the snowflakes are about the size of macaroni! 0_o... anyways, I'm gonna go now so I can go outside to play in the SNOW!
Till later!
*All Hail Cameron in his computer geniuse skills*
Cameron came in, and I showed him the new layout and stuff.
He said, "Scoot over, Kim." and off he went in his geniuseness. He fixed everything! The archives are now working and the links. He also came over and fixed the colors and everthing. The site looks better than ever, thanks to CAMERON.
Love ya!
Oh, I'm all done with the new layout.
What do you all think? Not too shabby, eh?
I actually like it alot... =)
I'd really like to thank my big brother, Cameron for helping with some of the coding.
(I wouldn't have finished the layout if it were'nt for him)
Anyways, nothing really is going on here to post about, so...yeah. 0_o
Ok, it's happy dance time!
Why, you ask? Because I'm half way through coding, and so far, it looks how I want it to!
YAY! Ok, so, I figured it'll all be done today... after that, I'm gonna try and make a banner.
BLAH. Anyways, I've had loads of help from my brother, Cameron.
Thankies Cameron, love ya!
Ok, so, seeing as all this rebuilding junk is going on, I have decided to delete all old posts untill about a week ago. Why? Because this is my blog, and I felt like deleting the past. Teehee. Anyways, that's all I wanted to say...
I think I'm going to kill this thing!
It has a devious mind, I'm telling ya...
Still trying to recode and getting VERY VERY VERY VERY frustrated in the process....
I'll go get Cameron, maybe he can help...
Well, as you can see, I've made progress, but I still have a ways to go... I'm thinking I'll finish it tonight, or when I get extremely bored later on. Anyways, I attempted to finish it all last night, but couldn't because I got very tired all the sudden. BUT when I tried to go to sleep, you know what happens? I can't sleep because every time I close my eyes, I see those evil codes again. It was like out of a matrix movie or something.... EACKS!
So, long story short, cross your fingers so I can finally finish this and get Ditz Witz back up....
P.S. Birdie or Beth, if you're reading this, a little help would be kind. ^_^
Ok, I'm down here in California with nothing to do, so I've decided to get off my lazy butt and recode the site! In birdie's words: w00t w00t, you're sliced bread kimmy!
