Relient K

Last night I was able to see Relient K and Pillar in concert at Magic Mountain. I had a great time.

We arrived at Magic Mountain around 5 pm, and stood in line to get the tickets so that we would be let into both shows. By the time we were given the tickets for Relient K and Pillar, the line was alrady forming to see Pillar. (BTW, it was only 6 oclok, and the show didn't start till eight.) The youth pastor of our church stood in line for us while we went on a few rides.

My friend Kristi and I went on Ninja. I'm not a big fan of rollercoasters, so Nija was perfect for me. By that time it was around 7 o'clock, so we decided to ge something to eat. Unfortuanatly, while we were in line to buy our food, that line for the show started to move, and we had to run to the front of the line so we could get in with the rest of our church.

The show was okay, but I must say I prefer Relient K. Right after the show, my friend Kristi and I ran to get in line for Relient K. We wanted to get as close to the stage as possible, so that we could through the two bags of Skittles Kristi had bought on stage. Unfortunatly even though we ran, we didn't get a stop in line, until quite a way down.

Kristi and I were really exsited about seeing the show, so we waited in line while the rest of the group went of the get some food. An hour later, the other people from our church showed up, and Kristi and I decided we had enough time. (It was 10 o'clock, and we didn't think they would start letting people into the how until 10:30 or so. Wrong!)

My friend and I went staight to the ride we decided to go on, (it was right by the line for the show)and got on (there wasn't a line). When the ride ended we decided to go on it again, so we started to run and get in line again. On the way to the line, Kristi and I noticed that the line for the concert was moving! We ran to the front of the line, but our group was already past the security gaurds! They were sending people back for cutting in line. Luckily, we found someone we knew in line, and went in with them.

Our group had saved us a seat as close as they could, but it was no where near close enough to throw the skittle on stage without them bursting. So, Kristi and I took the Skittle to down as close to the stage (as we could get) and asked the Stage Crew guy if he could possibly give the band the Skittles. He said he didn't know idea he was allowed, but that he would try.

Later in the show, Matt made a commont about Skittles. We hope he was talking about the Skittles we had given the band!

Frustrated

On Saturday, I was working on my Spanish homework. I was having difficulty understanding what the Textbook was saying, so I decided to go onto my aunts Tablet PC, and try and see if I could figure out what the book was saying on babelfish, or someother website.

I opened up Internet Explorer, and tried to write in the web address. (Keep in mind I did not have a keyboard hooked up, and was doing this all with the pen.) I typed in the web address. The Tablet PC just didn't want to work with me. I consider that I have pretty nice handwritting, but the computer kept changing what I was writting into something else.

When I would mess up, it would take forever to erase it. I would have to switch from where you would write in your own handwritting, to the keyboard, and if the computer hadn't already gotten rid of the box all together, I would be able to erase. Much too long, and complicated.

I was already about to give up, and I had just barely gotten to babelfish! Then, I ran into another problem, which, now that I think back to it probably could have been solved pretty easily. The problem was that i was writting in Spanish. Everytime I would ask the computer to put what I had written onto babelfish, it would change the sentence to English. This completly changed the meaning.

So, really, I was most frustrated at writting the web address, and erasing mistakes. I don't have a solution for how the writting problem could be fixed, but I think my problem with erasing could be easily taken care of. There need to be a button added for erasing. This could be added to the left or right of the line designated for writting on.

A simple solution.

The HP Dog with two legs?

"A two-legged dog that has learned to walk like a human could be considered for a role in the next Harry Potter film, according to reports.

Faith's owners in Oklahoma City in the US believe the part could involve her appearing as the result of a spell.

But the Stringfellow family said British trainers working on the film had not yet confirmed a part for Faith, who was born with the disability. "

I think it would be quite interesting to see a two legged dog apear in the movie. I hope they put it in. If it is a result from a spell, I think it would be funny if Neville produced the spell!

One of my theories on Harry Potter

The 24 Hour Mystery

As we know (Information from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) Harry Potter and his family (Lily and James Potter) are attacked by Lord Voldemort on October 31, 1981. Harry is then taken from the “almost destroyed” Potter’s house in Godric's Hollow by Hagrid.

The next day, late in the afternoon on November 1, 1981, Hagrid takes Harry to Number 4 Privet Drive to meet Dumbledore. We also know that somewhere in between these two times, McGonagall meets Hagrid and is told that Hagrid is going to meet Dumbledore at Number 4 Privet Drive on November 1.

We know that McGonagall meets Hagrid because of this little conversation between Dumbledore and McGonagall: Dumbledore- “Hagrid’s late, I suppose it was he who told you I’d be here, by the way?” McGonagall- “Yes, and I don’t suppose your going to tell me why you’re here of all places?”

According to the information above, there is gap about 24 hours between the time that Harry is taken from Godric's Hollow, to the time that he arrives at Privet Drive. So, where did Hagrid take him?

Here are some options:

The Leaky Cauldron/Diagon Alley- This is a possibility, because there are rooms in which Harry and Hagrid could have stayed, although very unlikely. There would probably be too many people wanting to see “The Boy Who Lived.” And Dumbledore most likely wouldn’t want that, considering he wanted Harry to live with his aunt and uncle instead of another family because the fame would “be enough to turn any boys head. Famous before he can even walk and talk!” So, the Leaky Cauldron isn’t a very likely place for Hagrid to have take Harry. Plus, how would McGonagall find Hagrid and Harry there?

The Shrieking Shack/Other places in Hogsmeade- This is another possibility. In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Dumbledore has that he has used The Shrieking Shack and other places in Hogsmeade for hideouts. (He used theShrieking Shack for Lupin when he was in school, and a cave in Hogsmeade for Sirius after he was saved by Harry and Hermione.) So, why wouldn’t he use it as a hideout for Hagrid and Harry? There are two reason why this wouldn’t work. One, how would McGonagall find them in a cave, the Shrieking Shack, or any other place in Hogsmeade? And Secondly, how would Hagrid fly the motorcycle in to Hogsmeade without being noticed? So, that wouldn’t really work.

Hogwarts- The only other place I can think of that Dumbledore would even consider is Hogwarts, and it is probably the best bet. Why? One reason is because Dumbledore knows and trusts everyone who works at Hogwarts. Plus, those who work there trust Dumbledore enough to not tell anyone. Another reason is that Hagrid could get his motorcycle in and out without a ton of people noticing. And, since McGonagall works at Hogwarts, she would most likely have been there, and could have asked Hagrid where he was going to meet Dumbledore. Three good reasons. And, since it is Dumbledore’s school, Dumbledore probably knows ways too get in and out of Hogwarts quickly, which means he would be able to get to Hagrid and Harry quickly if anything went wrong.

Although this has not been proven, according to the information above, it is most likely that Dumbledore had Hagrid take Harry to Hogwarts for the 24 hours or so before leaving him on the Dursley’s doorstep.

If you have any other ideas about what happened between the 24 hours, feel free to write your ideas in the comments. I would love to hear what other ideas you have! :D
