JK Rowling hs posted in her new section that the HP title behind the brick wall in true. Here is exactly what she said:
Well, the door opened at last and I showed you the title of book six - the genuine title, the title that will appear on the published book, the title I have been using in my head for ages and ages. Unfortunately, however, the door opened on the very same day the 'Pillar of Storgé' hoaxer struck, which left a lot of Harry Potter fans bemused as to whether I was having a joke at their expense by posting another fake title to 'teach hoaxers a lesson', something I certainly wouldn't do, as it would simply frustrate, confuse or annoy the 99.9% of you who aren't hoaxers! I tried to give a clear hint that the title behind the door was the real one by making the 'Toenail' joke as well (see 'Rumours'). But just to clear up matters once and for all…
Information you take directly from this site will be truthful and accurate (I might occasionally joke, but as time goes on, you'll learn to tell when I'm joking). Do not trust anybody else claiming to have found information on this site that you cannot access, however seemingly convincing the images they provide to support their story. I never post information on the site that I do not want fans to read immediately. In other words, anybody claiming to have 'discovered' a message that wasn't due for release yet is lying. There was never anything meaningful behind the door until the 'Do Not Disturb' sign came off! The 'Pillar of Storgé' was never my title, and I did not change it at the eleventh hour because I was 'found out' (I nearly fell off my chair giggling when I read this).
She also gave us a hint of who the HBP is, well, actually more like who it isn't.
Anyway: if you continue to exercise patience, you will find that the Do Not Disturb Door opens again… and again… giving you further hints about book six. But as a little bonus, and compensation for having been messed around by Mr. or Ms. Storgé, I shall tell you one thing without making you shift any bricks at all: the HBP is neither Harry nor Voldemort. And that's all I'm saying on THAT subject until the book's published.
JK has said no to the title of book 6 being "Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storgé. " Here is what she said:
"I am trying very hard not to feel offended that anyone thought this was possible. 'Storgé', for crying out loud. Come on, people, get a grip."
I have also found out that the new, real, title for the 6th Harry Potter book is behind the now unlocked door on JK's site. Although, when you open it you are just given a brick wall. If you want to figure out the combination of bricks you use to get behind the brick wall, then don't decode this. But, if you are just dying to know the combination, then click here.
I hope you enjoy the new title as much as I do, and can't wait to read the book!
Mugglenet has a few good reason's why the rumored book six title was probably written by someone other that JK Rowling. Among these include:
The Dark Mark (what Jo uses as a spoiler warning) is on the wrong side of the page. The Dark Mark should be on the page with the spoiler, and you then have to click on the Dark Mark to reveal the text. The Dark Mark then appears as a faded image underneath the text.
Read their article for more information.
According to Mugglenet, and The Leaky Cauldron, someone may have got past the locked door with the "Do Not Disturb" sign on it on JK Rowling's website. This is not proven. According to these two websites, The following message has been going around the internet, and may or may not have been behind the door. Don't know. Well, here it is:
Erm… it is perhaps time for me to reveal the title of Book 6! I am nearing completion of the first draft and have definitely decided upon a title. I had numerous possibilities in mind, but as I wrote, I realized that only one did the book justice.
The more clever Potter fans may recognize that the title relates directly to both 'Order of the Phoenix' and 'Chamber of Secrets.' I will be highly amused if one of you can guess exactly what's going on!
On a side note, the length of the book is growing so fast, I could swear Filius has put anEngorgement Charm on it; an editor's nightmare! I promised myself not to exceed the length of 'Order of the Phoenix,' but every day that passes
makes that undertaking more difficult. Incidentally, I have much more work ahead.
Alas, the time has come! Here is the reward for you lot that so diligently figured out all the puzzles on the site. If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, I will reveal to you the title of Book 6!
...
The title of Book 6 is: Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storgé.
Here is a blurry scan from Mugglenet. They also have a video of behind the door.
Mugglenet is putting together project for Rupert Grint's birthday. Find out more here.
How is everyone? I just got back from Mammoth. I was there for two days! I got to go horseback riding, bike riding, and my mom and I rented a boat!
School is our for the year, finally!
I graduated yesterday. At graduation I also got a new kitten, Imo. Cool huh!
I also saw Catch That Kid, which I think is a very good movie. It's not like one of those movies where you watch it once and never watch it again. I have actually already watched the movie twice already. It's so good!
I saw HP3 on Friday! In my opnion it was very good, but I think it could have followed the book a little more closer. My sister really hated it. It wasn't really scary, but there were some times when everyone in the theater jumped.
