I have started reading the HP books again, (I read them all over again before a new book or movie comes out.) and am already on book two. I'm on page 123, American hardback.
What happening with the HP movies, books and other stuff:
1. According to Mugglenet, "Dark Horizons reports that Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban will clock in at 142 minutes (2 hours and 22 minutes)." Note: It's down the page a ways.
2. The newest American girl edition has an interview with Emma Watson, (Hermione Granger). Mugglenet has scanned the interview, you can see it here.
3. Mugglenet is also reporting that "Alfonso Cuaron will be on the red carpet at the Mexican premiere of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on June 3rd, after arriving in the country shortly before."
4. MSNBC's Newsweek has two quotes form Daniel Radcliffe about HP and the Pisoner of Azkaban here. According to Daniel Radcliffe, the Quidditch scene where the Dementors come "...looks brilliant! It's this really big action sequence, and all the raindrops turn to ice and start to cut Harry's face. When we were shooting they were chucking water over me before each take." Pause. "They did heat it, I'm glad to say, which I'd like to think means they like me."
Are you a fan of Oliver Wood (Sean Biggerstaff)? If you are you can join his fanlist here.
HPANA has four new Harry Potter posters.
Personally I only like the one of Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and the one with Emma Watson (Hermione Granger). I didn't really like the other two, but that's just my opinion.
Which ones do you like?
BBC has an article about Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) who will be perorming in the Ibsen's play "Hedda Gabler".
According to MuggleNet, "Warner Brothers has confirmed that their casting department are very close to making final decisions on key Goblet of Fire characters, but are not quite ready to announce them yet. "
I have been doing quite a bit of work on Today (on this blog). I added a "Things I Write About" section. This will make it easier for people to go around the site, because I have put what I write mostly about into sections.
For example, if you click on "Harry Potter" you should see almost all my entries about Harry Potter. Same with News, Tablet PCs, and SPOT Watches.
This took forever. Hope you like it.

The last time I posted that I thought the Tablet PCs should have other colors, I was only meaning plain colors. Now that I think about it again, wouldn't it be nice if the Tablet PCs were multiple colors? Some could be spotted with many colors, some could have a gradient, and others can have one color but can be shiny instead of dull...
According to Veritaserum News, a snitchseeker sent in "a letter along with a couple of photos to Leavesden Studios about being in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire film" According to the article the responded saying that the casting for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was complete. They also left hints meaning that there will be filming for HP and the OotP.
I think that Tablet PCs should come in many colors and shapes, not just rectangles. That way the person who buys the Tablet PC will be buying a product that not only fits their needs, but also their personality.
Tablet PCs could come in circles, triangles, hexagons... and many other geometric shapes that would make them look cool. They could also come in green, orange, purple, silver, blue... and many more colors.
Of course I would still like my screen to be 14", not 10" or 12". And the screen resolution needs to be much better than 1024 by 768 pixels.
DallasNews has an article telling about a Harry Potter party. The Harry Potter party was taken to court by a "concerned parent." The court ruled against the parent and is allowing the party to go on! Read more about the case.
Note: You need to have an account to read the article.
WhileI was searching the internet this moring I found an interesting article on News.com that says that Harry Potter is helping with teen depression. At first I was wondering how this was possible, but as I read on I started to understand why this could be true.
The article stated that "The dementors represent depression and anxiety and the boggarts change shape to become whatever you fear most, be it a bully or a spider.
The dementors are overcome by thinking good thoughts. As a way of overcoming dementors, Harry conjures up a patronus, which is a manifestation of strength in oneself" News.com
Emma Thompson (Professor Trelawny) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) both had their birthdays yesterday. Happy Birthday!
They are now 14 (Emma Watson) and 45! (Emma Thompson)
According to Mugglenet, "Matt Lewis (Neville Longbottom) will be appearing at the Armageddon Pulp Culture Expo in Auckland, New Zealand, from Friday 16th April to Sunday 18th April. " For more info click here.
According to BBC News, "The Paul Bevan Cancer Foundation offers the chance to spend two hours..." with the actor who played Lockhart in HP and the Chamber of Secrets, Kenneth Branagh. The highest bidder will get to spend the two hours with Kenneth Branagh. BBC also stated that "Interested parties have until 7 May to make their bids by telephone, post or via the Paul Bevan website."
Note: This is "part of a 'platinum auction' arranged by a leading charity."
Daniel Radcliffe.com was able to get a sneak peek of the the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Broadcast coming out on May 8th. You can watch it on their site.
I think it would be cool if you could order pizza with your SPOT watch. I'm not quite sure how this would work, but it would still be cool. If you have any ideas on how it could work, please comment.
I think what would probably work is if you had an account (maost likely msn) where you put the type pizza you normally order, how you pay... There could then be a button or code on the SPOT watch that you enter and it would contact the pizza place for you.
It could also work with other food places.
I know of at least two rumors going around about who has been cast for roles in the 4th HP movie. I'm not sure if either are true.
One is about Fleur. The story does not tell who the actress is, but does mention that she "has experience, and has done some films before" Read the story here on Veritaserum.com.
The other is about Rita Skeeter. Roasmund Pike Site says that "According to the English Now! Magazine Ros will play Rita Skeeter in the 4th Harry Potter Movie." I don't know where they saw this on the English Now! Magazine website so don't take it as the truth.
My aunt and I were just discussing books that we though were difficult to read because of large words, Emma, Little Women... When she came up with an idea.
She asked if right mouse/pen clicking on the word and seeing the definition would help. I think this would be a great help. Whenever someone came across a word they didn't know they would just right click. By right mouse/pen clicking the definition for that word would appear.
I think this should be added to ebook readers.
Timesonline has a new story about the producer of the Harry Potter films, David Heyman. Read the story here
The Harry Potter soundtrack will be sold in stores as of May 25, 2004. Though, if you would like to pre-order the sound track you can go to Amazon.
Universharrypotter.com has a new photo of Snape and Dumbledore in the Great Hall. Click here to see the photo.
In the last little bit the layout has been changed around quite a bit. Sorry for the trouble but we have run into some bugs. We are still finding some problems. Just so that you know.
Today my aunt and I were discussing Microsoft's new SPOT watches. (Watches with extra features including a calendar, weather updates, stock updates... ) And, although we both like them we think they are in need of some more features.
Off the top of our heads we thought of two new features we think the SPOT watches should have.
The first is a camera. Adding a camera to the SPOT watches would most likely increase the age of people buying the watches and increase sales. Plus the person buying the watch would be able to take picture of their events without having an extra thing to carry around. (Three good reasons a camera should be added to the SPOT watches.)
We also think the SPOT watches should have games. These would most likely only be short mini games, maybe trial games, but they would still be fun. This would most likely help with the sale of the watches and again the age group.
Those were two things we thought should be added to the SPOT watches. If I think of more I will tell you.
On May 25th HBO will be showing a 13 minute "look behind the scenes of this third installment in the Harry Potter series" (Quote from HBO page.) Click here for more information on the 13 minute look.
My aunt recently attended a Microsoft MVP Summit. (Read what she said about her trip.) While she was there she noticed how few women were MVPs. I think this is quite interesting. Why are so few women MVP's?
My aunt thinks I stopped playing with computers, tuxreports, and blogging because people yelled at us. Anonymous posters who don't realize who they are or perhaps didn't care.
I agree with her. What do you think?
Yesterday Motion computing released their latest Tablet PC, Motion M1400!
Tablet PCs are very cool computers that you can carry around. They are better than notebooks because you can write directly on the screen. One reason tablet PCs are cool is because your handwriting can be changed into printing as if you had typed the message with a keyboard. Microsoft calls this handwriting recognition. This does not mean it can tell the difference between my handwriting and my sister's handwriting. It means that it can convert (change) my scribbles to perfect text.
Another reason I like Tablet PCs is because you can draw a picture right on the screen as if you were drawing on a piece of paper, except you won't lose the paper because you can save it onto the hard drive. This also allows you to give your drawing to multiple people without having to re-draw it or photocopy it, allowing for much better quality.
Now Motion Computing calls The Motion M1400 the third generation of Tablet PCs. I personally have tried the first and second generation Tablet PCs. And can't wait to try a third generation Tablet PC. My aunt told me that Tablet PCs with the Dothan (Intel's newer processors to be released sometime in the future) will even be better! But I would rather have something that is available now, that way I could use it NOW. (Hint, Hint.)
But let me tell you a little bit about this Motion M1400. It is not just a big Palm Pilot. (The correct term is PDA because Palm is just one company that makes a PDA, Personal Data Assistant.) This is a complete mobile computer. All the software on my desktop can be put on this computer. While using the internet you don't have to be tied to a desk. This is because it has a wireless connection, due to the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 BG 802.11 card. (2 thumbs up!) The Motion M1400 also has Bluetooth. Notice it's not Yellowtooth which would imply that the engineers forgot to brush their teeth. Hehe!
Best of all Motion fixed the screen. The glare is decreased. This is why PC magazine just named the Motion M1400 the New Editor's Choice
More about Tablet PCs-
Last night I was playing with Alias SketchBook. (Unfortunately this was not on the new Motion M1400 Tablet PC. Oh well!) This is an art program on a Tablet PC. One of the things I like about this program is that it's pressure sensitive. Basically, the harder you push, the darker the lines appear. I drew a really cool butterfly!
The only problem I had with Alias SketchBook was that the pencil drew too lightly. Even though I pressed really hard, the lines barely showed up. I suspect with practice I'll become better with using the pencils. Otherwise the program was great!
When I looked on Newsround this morning I found some very surprising news. It seems that Dursley's may not be in Harry Potter 4! I do not know if this is official or not yet, though if it is I am very upset. Although I don't like the Dursleys scenes (because Harry is usually tormented), I think it is wrong to cut them out.
Isn't Harry supposed to return to the Dursleys every year to ensure he is safe. And if that part is missing from the movie, won't that mean that for that year Harry is unsafe. They didn't show him returning to the Dursleys, so how would we know he didn't return.

Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you that on Saturday April 3 I took the PSAT for the Talent Search I had been telling you about. The test didn't seem to hard, but that was probably just to trick us. LOL!
This week I'm on Easter/Spring Break! Is anyone else? What are you doing for your Easter/Spring Break?
Unfortuatly it is only for a week. :(
I have been going through the comments that have been posted and deleting the ones I think are against the rules. If you come across any, please post the topic and name of the person who posted (in this topics comments) so I can delete them. That would be very kind. Thanks
