While going around to some Harry Potter websites I found some theories and since you have to go around to find the theories I thought I should list them here.
Note:Some of these give parts away from the fifth Harry Potter book, so if you don't want to know what will happen don't click 'Read More Harry Potter Theories'
Here are some of the theories I found:
1. Mark Evans- In the fifth Harry Potter book you may remember that in the begging right after Dudley says good-bye to all his friend Harry Potter runs up and starts to talk to Dudley. At one point the conversation switches over to who Dudley beat up that day, and Harry mentions that he know Dudley beat up Mark Evens two nights before. (If you want to check this part it's on page 13 about the middle of the page in the American version hardback.) If you remember Lily's last name is Evans. (if you don't go look at chapter 28 pages 647 to about 649 in the American version hardcover) Does this mean that Mark Evans is possibly related to Harry Potter?
2. The next few are from Mugglenet. We've all heard that Dumbledore knows pretty much everything that goes on at Hogwarts. He also didn't care if he lost all his acclaim except taking his face off the chocolate frog cards. Perhaps Dumbledore is using the chocolate frog cards of himself in the same way that the portraits of old headmasters spy on others. After all, look at all the times Harry and Ron have gotten chocolate frog cards with his picture on them. (I can't find the page where he says he doesn't care if he loses everything except his chocolate frog cards. But if i do I'll post it in a comment.)
3. There is much speculation that we haven't heard the last of Professor Trelawny's prophecies. It is likely that she will make another before the series concludes, so why not book six?
4. Harry and Voldemort can't duel because Fawkes's tail feather is in both wands causing the reverse spell effect. So Harry isn't going to be able to use his wand against Voldemort's wand; the power to kill him is going to have to come from somewhere else. Where or what it is? It can't be someone else so we have to wonder how they will fight.
5. Sir Patrick Delaney Podmore (the head of the Headless Hunt) could be related to Sturgis Podmore from the Order of the Phoenix.
6. An interesting anagram: "persues Evans" = "Severus Snape". Could Snape have been in love with Lily? He certainly hated James; He could even have been "the source" that warned Dumbledore and the order that Voldermort was after James and Lily. Could this also have been the motive for Snape becoming a spy?
7. From what was said in book five, it would be logical to assume that Harry is Sirius's heir. So not only will Harry inherit Sirius's fortune and properties, but he will be the owner of 12 Grimmauld Place, and Kreacher's master. Harry is therefore going to have to control his feelings regarding the betrayal of Sirius (from Kreacher), and will have more responsibilities. (I don't know exactly what they are refering to when they said "From what was said in book five")
8. Percy wrote a letter for Ron which attacked Harry and Dumbledore - or so it seems! If the letter is read in another way, warnings for the group begin to appear: advice about Umbridge taking control of Hogwarts; Possible removal of Dumbledore from the Headmaster“s office; the Minister of Magic trying to portray Harry as a psychotic guy; and lots of others. Could this suggest Percy is working for the Order (undercover), and perhaps Mr. Weasley and Percy, in the need of a cover staged the fight? (I'm still trying to figure out how this one is true.)
9. On page 861 of the American version of OoTP, Nearly-Headless Nick tells Harry, "I know nothing of the secrets of death... I believe learned wizards study the matter in the Department of Mysteries." I'm assuming that Nick is referring directly or indirectly to the veil that Sirius fell through. It's entirely reasonable for the veil to be a connection, gateway, portal, whatever, to another plane: the plane where people go when they die. The veil is possibly an experiment by such 'learned wizards' trying to contact the dead or make a connection to this other plane. In this case, as Sirius didn't die from Bellatrix's spell, but merely from crossing the one-way gateway into this other plane, then the whispering voices that Harry hears are the voices of the dead, and this leaves the 'veil' open for later contact with Sirius - assuming that if one gets close enough, he or she can actually talk with the dead.
10. Mr. Weasley will become the Minister of Magic. The reasons are two: Fudge will probably be thrown out of office for not telling anyone about Voldemort; Ron said (in book 5 that "they have as much chance of winning the house cup as dad becoming Minister of Magic." And when Ron jokes about something, he's usually right. Who better for Dumbledore to place at the top than Mr. Weasley?
11. I have also heard some rumors about Lupin being in danger of Wortail. As far as I have heard people are saying that silver can kill or harm a warewolf. Do remember in that in the Goblet of Fire Wormtail is given a silver hand by Voldrmort. Do you think Wormtail with be asked to kill Lupin?
President Bush thinks the US is on it's way to economic recovery.
"President Bush says his policies have started the United States on the way to economic recovery, but he says more needs to be done to make sure the economy creates enough new jobs for American workers." VOANews
This is interesting.
I was thinking more about the link I posted to the story about the kids who liked wearing uniforms to school. Then I remembered that my school had a vote on uniforms last year but the offer was turned down for 7th and 8th grades. K-6th grade have to wear them. (I think.)
Even though I wanted uniform I said no. The uniforms my school was offering for us to have were childish. I mean sure those uniforms would look good on a first grader but not on an eighth grader. Dresses with poufy sleeves and straigh pants don't exactly work with most eighth graders.
I continued to think about how I wanted uniforms to look at my school, did I want them professional, girlish... I came up with my own little list of things I wanted in a uniform and I think all schools need to keep in mind if they are looking for uniforms. Here is my list:
What I think All Junior High Uniforms Need
1. Professional- How do you react if a teacher or any person for that matter comes into a classroom in a suit and tie? The first thing I think is 'Wow! That person knows what they are doing.' When a school goes somewhere in there uniforms they want people to think the same thing, 'Those kids know what they're doing.' not 'Look at that girl! What is she wearing?' If the uniforms are to young for the age group or look like they came from another time period that is the sort of response they will most likely get, 'What are they wearing?'
When I say professional I don't mean all the way to suit and polished shoes. What I ment was nice white collered shirt with a tie. (Not many students like ties, but they give the students a professional look.) Students want to look professional but be comfortable at the same time. Although blazors give a person sort of a professional look they shouldn't be a required piece of a uniform. During the blazing hot weather students don't want to be baking in blazors.
2. Casual- I know casual is a really wierd thing to be posted after professional, but after you read this it should make sence. I don't mean casual clothes I mean more of a layed back professional look. To put this in simpler terms don't require students to (If you have blazors) button every button of there blazors and wear it like that, or require them to shine there shoes. I mean that is way to over board. The only thing you need to make sure is that the shirts are tucked in pants are pulled up an the tie isn't worn so loose that it looks sloppy.
3. Colors- I know your school has colors but your uniform doesn't have to show the whole world. I mean when you make a professional uniform only show the colors on the tie of maybe a little symbol on the blazor.
Definate no- If your school colors are yellow and green, I forbid you to put those colors anywhere but on the tie and/or blazor. If someone walks into your classroom with a suit and tie on but the shirt is yellow and the suit is green you get a totally different response then if the suit is black with a white shirt. Even if the kids want it the other way make the pants/skirt black with a white shirt. Only show the colors on the tie or blazor.
A uniform I invented that I wish I had
Note: This an example school uniform. I designed it to what I think an ideal school uniform would be, so you may not agree with some of the things I have chosen.
For Girls:
Shoes- If a skirt is worn student must wear black sandals that cover toes and heels. If the student is wearing shorts or pants there shoes must be black.
Socks/Tights- If a skirt is worn girls must either wear Tan/Skin colored tights or black socks (I can't remember the type of sock they are but I'm refering to the ones that you pull up to right under your knee.). With pants socks must be worn. (The type you fold.)
Skirt- A knee length or ankle lenght skirt (depends on school but either black/khaki. If made in khaki they may have one of the schools colors on a strip down the side.)
Slacks/Shorts- Must be black or navy blue. They should be loose fitting/comfortable.
Shirt- Only in white. For girls a short sleeve collered buttoned dress shirt, sort of like a button dress shirt but short sleeve. Girls can also wear long sleeve collered shirts.
Tie- A plain black tie or a striped tie in the school colors. (It is possible to have school logo.) Can be worn slightly loose or not.
Sweater- A black buttoned sweater long sleeve. Or a thin tank top style sweater without buttons. Coller and tie must be worn out of sweater if tanktop one. Sweaters do not have to be worn.
For Boys:
Socks- The only rule for boys socks is that they must be black.
Slacks/Shorts- Must be black or navy blue. They should be loose fitting/comfortable.
Shirt- A white long sleeve collered buttoned dress shirt.
Tie- A plain black tie or a striped tie in the school colors. (It is possible to have school logo.) Can be worn slightly loose or not.
Jacket: A black jacket in the same fabric as a sports jacket by black with the school name and logo on the front left of the zipper.
Well I hope you enjoyed reading my views on uniforms and if you work at a school you bring them back to your school and use them.
These birds are eating the farmers crop and making it hard for farmers to earn enough money to live.

If I were a farmer and these birds were eating my crops I would be angry too. All your hard work literally going to the birds.
The Harry Potter books will now be printed in Gaelic a Scottish language.
"Pupil power has led to JK Rowling's publishers agreeing to print Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone in the traditional Scottish language of Gaelic." Newsround
I never thought of getting a whole bunch of people to write someone to pursuade them to do something. Then again in this they could be printing Harry Potter in Gaelic because people will buy it an they will get more money, but it's still a good idea, and I don't think I know enough people. :D
I school get the students of my school to ask for new books. Last year we learned about something that doesn't exsist anymore our books were so old.
Hippos may become extinct!
"There's been a huge drop in the number of hippos in the world and it's so serious they could become extinct.
The World Wide Fund for Nature has said something needs to be done urgently if hippos are to be saved." Newsround
I hope hippos don't become extinct I want my kids to know what a hippo is. They are being killed for there teeth. Why would someone kill an animal for there teeth.
Alastair Campbell, the Prime Minister's press officer has resigned.
"The Prime Minister's press officer, Alastair Campbell, has resigned."Newsround
It doesn't say if he commented on why he resigned, so I'm wondering why he resigned.
Note: Just in case you were wondering Tony Blair, the UK's Prime Misister, still doesn't have a new press officer.
Scientist found two common genes in fast runners. (One long distance, one short.) This may be part of the reason why some people can run quick short distances and/or long distances.
"If you're a real slowcoach, there might be a reason, as scientists say they've discovered the gene which makes top sprinters so quick." Newsround
Though they do say that just because you have one of these genes doesn't mean your a fast runner. They also say you can be fast without this gene.
Cameron Diaz, Charlie's Angels, has the highest income of all Hollywood actresses.
"Charlie's Angels star Cameron Diaz is officially Hollywood's highest earning actress, after pulling in a whopping £25 million in one year." Newsround
I can't belive she makes that much money. Wow!
I saw this on my cousins weblog and I think it is a very good idea so I'm starting one here. It a question booth. If you have any questions about this weblog or anything else you want to know, you can ask me in the comments and I will answer it as soon as I can. The ones I know the answer to will be done first. If you ask me a question that I don't know the answer to I will try and look it up and find the answer for you. If I can't find the answer I will tell you.
Remember no rude/inappropriate questions or language.
Last night at 9:00PM in California Mars was closest to the Earth then it has been since the Stone Age.
"Mars is closer to Earth than it has been since the Stone Age.
Because both planets orbit the sun in different shapes, they are never the same distance from one another." Newsround
I was able to see Mars last night! If you didn't see it you will still be able to see it tonight but it won't be as close tonight. Note: It was in the UK at a different time.
A new cave for rare bats was made after the big earthquake in the UK last year.
"A colony of bats whose home was ruined in the UK's biggest earthquake for ten years are moving to a new roost.
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is making an hibernaculum - a kind of man made cave - for thousands of the bats to sleep in." Newsround
I really like how people are trying to save rare animals.
Pink wrote a letter to Prince William telling him she is against his hunting for fun.
"Pink has written a furious letter to Prince William telling him she is "disgusted" to learn that he hunts animals for fun.
The outspoken singer wrote to the prince after hearing he was supposed to have killed a tiny deer with a spear while on holiday in Kenya." Newsround
I think that was a very bold thing to do.
Micheal Jackson is inviting 500 people to his ranch for a day of fun, if they pay for the ticket.
"Michael Jackson is going to allow 500 people to visit his Neverland ranch.
The one-off event is only available to people that Michael invites, and it will cost £3,000 for a pair of tickets." Newsround
I think that he wants way to much money for a ticket, I also think he would earn more money if he just let anyone come.
Richard Rodriguez beat his own record for riding a rollercoaster almost non-stop. His latest record is 145 hours about 6 days and he is soon going to beat that (if he can) by riding 195 hours just over eight days!
"Richard Rodriguez set the record at 145 hours - about 6 days - on 16 July, but even that wasn't enough for the 41-year-old American." Newsround
I would guess that eventually you would get used to riding the rollercoaster. I think this is a really wierd record he is trying to beat.
Most students are throwing away the healthy parts of there lunch including their sandwitches and fruits.
"Three quarters of kids are ditching food from their lunchboxes, and the first things to go are healthy, a survey has said" Newsround
I know this is true at my school. One reason kids throw away sandwiches is because by the time luch comes around they are soggy.
A school in Doncaster, UK is trying to help students who bully other kids by helping them find friends and talking out there problems.
"It's hard to get rid of bullies but one school is doing its best to help kids deal with the problem." Newsround
I think this is a good idea and all schools should try this.
Some stores sold The Two Towers DVD and video before it was to be realeased.
"Stores which sold The Two Towers DVD and video before the day it was meant to be released could be in trouble." Newsround
I wonder why shops would be this rude. Why did they sell it before they were supposed to?
Jade Yates a nine-year-old girl might be scarred for life because of getting a henna tattoo. She had convinced her mom to let her get a henna tattoo on her back on a Greek island, but hours after it started to blister. She may be scarred for life.

I can't belive her mom let her get a tattoo even if it was a henna tattoo.

In the UK a clothes store aksed over 1000 kids if they would rather wear school uniforms or regular clothes to school....
"It might be itchy, uncomfortable, and old fashioned, but most kids prefer wearing school uniform to their own clothes." Newsround
I have never worn school uniforms but I would have to agree that I think it would be way better then wearing regular clothes. You could sleep later because all you had to do was reach into the closet and pull out you uniform. Plus you don't have to worry about wearing the wrong type of clothes...
National Astronomy Week is from 23-30 August 2003. This week Mars is closer to Earth than it has been for thousands of years. Make sure you don't miss it. This is a once in a thousand year chance. After this week you will most likely never be able to see Mars this close again.
Well it probably doesn't work on this because it's a blog. But if you would like to have some of these kinds of things on your website go here.
I just found this and I don't know if it works. It's supposed to write a story for you. So test it out and see if it works.

This is a really cool article written by someone who was able to see (not talk to) Rupert Grint. She also was given his autograph. She wrote about her experiance here if you want to read it.
Here is a bit of the article...
"My heart was going so fast. Rupert opened the bag, looked in, grinned, and then read my note. He talked to the helper, and was obviously asking who had given them to him. He looked right at me. I waved and he grinned, giving me the thumbs up; and then I worked up the nerve to blow him a kiss and he winked back! He was smiling at me so much! Then he proceeded to show most of his friends in the cast the note (major embarrassment, people) and everyone was trying to nick his strawberries." Amy
You should really check this out.
Today Rupert Grint who plays Ronald Weasly in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber on Secrets is having his 15th Birthday!
Happy Birthday Rupert! I hope you are having a good day. Best Wish for the Next Year!

Sarah and I were chatting on KSirc just a while ago. It's really interesting, we've met quite a few nice people.
I found this game, it's called Roving Reporter. You have to go around the town and pick up bits of information. You are timed so hurry.
If you want to find out which animals are going exctinct and why, click here. (This tells about specific animals) This is just a short little thing. You click on the animals and it tells you why it is going exctinct.

Bitterns a type of bird living in Britain was almost extinct, but is now repopulating. About 30 more males have have been born in the last 6 years!
"Bitterns, a rare bird once thought to be extinct, has made a massive comeback in Britain.
In 1997 there were only 11 male bitterns left in the country, but now conservationists think there are at least 42. " Newsround
This is really cool. These birds might not go extinct! I hope we continue the good work, and keep this animals population alive. You can see a picture of them here.

Children in Britain are given a ton of money each year, and what do they spand it on? Clothes. How much money are you given to buy clothes with? Is it as much as most children in Britain?
(This report is on British children, but I'm sure it hold true for other places like the United States of America. So you might was to read it...)
"A survey has shown that a third of children aged between 11 and 14 get £200 a year - around £4 a week - and they spend lots of it buying the latest fashions."Newsround
I never knew that much was spent each year on clothes. But considering what the latest fashions are, it's not that hard to understand. I wonder if children will continue to get more money?
This is an interesting study about children and breakfast. You should really read this study.
"Kids who don't have a proper breakfast in the morning think as slowly as someone who is 70 years old." Newsround
I knew that children who ate candy or drank soda for breakfast get a quick burst of energy, but I didn't know it affected you so much, and that so many children ate that for breakfast.
"A different study showed that children aged 9-16 missed breakfast 17 times out of every 100, and when they did eat something, it was often a chocolate bar or fizzy drink." Newsround
That is remarkable, 17 out of 100 times! Wow!

I guess these are the results of a survey given to 18 to 30 year-olds on which was the coolest country, city...
"The UK has been voted the coolest country in the world, and it also has the coolest celeb and capital city." Newsround
Considering this news aritcle was posted in the UK section, I think this survey was only given to people who live in the UK which may explain was some things were chosen over others. (For those of you who feel other things should have been chosen over others.) Not sure.
I have to agree with some of the things that were chosen yet not others and some I have no clue what or who they are. I find it quite interesting that a survey was taken on who and what was the best, and I thought you might find it interesting too so I posted it here.
If you think any cities, countries... should be number one, you may feel free to express your opinion here. Just make sure you don't use offensive language.
We just saw Pirates of the Caribbean! I really liked the movie and thought it was funny how some of the same things from the Disney Land ride Pirates of the Caribbean were used. For example on the ride you see a few Pirates begging a dog to give them the keys so they can get out of jail. Although this time they used a real dog.
There is a short scene at the end of the movie, that you might wan't to see. But don't worry about going to the bathroom thinking you are going to miss it. The ending credits last around 10 minutes, so if you have to go to the bathroom right after the movie feel free to go without worrying about missing the end part.
Even if you don't like animal I think you should check these cute ones out. I found ten picture of different animals getting away from the heat, on Newsround.
I really liked two of the pictures, the one with the Siberian tiger and the other with the African elephant.
Yikes! Imagin a ten ton whale jumping out of the water and landing on your boat. I think that would be so scary. I just found this story about how something like that happened to a family.
"A British family had a lucky escape when a ten tonne whale jumped out of the ocean - and landed on the deck of their boat!
Mary and Trevor Johnson were on a sailing holiday in Australia with their sons when the 10m (30 foot) long humpback whale leapt from the sea. " Newsround
Although this probably would have been a frightning experience, I wish this could happen to me. (Well at least seeing the whale not the whole being stranded thing.)
:D
I found another news story that predicts that in about 20 years astronauts may be living on the moon.
"Humans could be living on the moon in just 20 years, says a leading scientist.
Bernard Foing of the European Space Agency says soon scientists should be able to build somewhere for visiting astronauts to live." Newsround
I don't know if this is true or even possible, but I hope it is. I think it would be worth becoming an astronaut just to live on the moon for one year.
We played with Candice again today. We didn't go swimming or anything like that. We just hung out. It was fun though. We might meet up with her again on Friday.
Sarah and I saw Uptown Girls last Friday. It was so good, I really liked it. My mom and Sarah cried, but I didn't think it was that sad. So you might was to bring a box of tissues when you see it, just in case you think it is sad.
I would rate it a 9 out of 10, or somewhere around there.
I just found another really cool story about a girl who beat the chinese swim record. She swam the Qiongzhou straits in 10 hours, five minutes and 32 seconds. About the same distance as swimming across the Channel from England to France. Her name is Wang Yiyan, and she is 10 years old, the youngest to swim the Qiongzhou strait.
"A 10-year-old Chinese girl has managed to swim across a 31km stretch of water known as the Qiongzhou straits." Newsround
I personally think this is so cool! I know I couldn't do something like that. You should read the story.
(This is not old news! Lol)
Candice, (Sarah's best friend) Sarah, and I just went swimming.
We had a few contests, like who could make the biggest splash, (We didn't have a diving board) and who could reach the other side first... it was really fun. We are planning on playing tennis tomorrow!
I just found this really cool story about a robot that was created. It can help you around the house... ...it will even alert you if it hears a loud noice or sees an unusual thing by emailing you.
"If you'd had enough of helping out with the housework then a new robot could be the answer.
Wakamaru, made by Mitsubishi, has been designed to make people's lives easier by doing jobs for them and helping them remember things they have to do.... " Newsround
The robot is really expensive, but if I had enough money I would probably buy it because then I wouldn't have to do my chores... Then again even if I did have the money I still might not...
The story was written in Febuary, but I think the idea of a robot that helps you around the house is still really cool, so you might want to check it out.
Last weekend, Sarah and I went on a cruise to Ensenada Maxico! We saw a blow hole, and a we were able to visit the flea market. I bartered for a glass humming bird.
My dad is trying to find recipies for different foods you use the Crock-Pot to make. He found this website. It lists a bunch of different recipies from soups to pastas...
